Setting up a Deep Learning Workstation

In this tutorial, we will see how to install and setup Python and Tensorflow by using “Anaconda”. This method is suitable for older CPUs.

Step 1

Download the latest 64 bit version of Anaconda from https://anaconda.com Step 1

Run the exe file that you just downloaded Step 2 Step 2

Make sure Anaconda (64 bit) is successfully installed.

Download the ‘Visual Studio Code’ editor from https://code.visualstudio.com

Run the exe file that you just downloaded

Make sure Visual Studio Code is successfully installed.

Create a new folder on your system. We will save all our programs in this folder.

Open Visual Studio Code. Click File -> Open Folder

Create a new file

Write a program and save it to your folder

Open the “Anaconda Prompt” from the Windows Start Menu Step 11

Install the packages that you require: Step 12

Change to the directory of the folder that you just created Step 12
